EVERY PART OF THE ANIMAL (1998, OO ZOO MAY Records)
Features Uzume Taiko Ensemble members plus a variety of guest artists. Fusing the drive and visceral energy of the taiko with instruments and music from diverse cultures, this exciting release embraces a courageous new world of possibilities.

"Taiko is, by definition, a visual art form. A live taiko concert fuses elements of dance, theatre and music, creating-at its best-a visceral, heart stopping spectacle that moves the heart, mind and body. How then, does one go about capturing movement on audiotape? In short, one doesn't. Having accepted that fact we set out to create something entirely different - a parallel universe, if you will. A collaborative project in the best sense of the word, it was our chance to bring together most of the artists that we have had the pleasure of working with over the past ten years. This recording is our offering to you. It was a true labor of love and we hope you enjoy listening to it as much we enjoyed making it."
