Fall Schedule

*NEW! Weekend Family, Youth & Older Adult Taiko Workshops available!

Fall Taiko Classes begin October 12 and run to December 5. Check out the new schedule on our Workshop page. To start the new season, guest teacher, Kristy Oshira returns to lead Odaiko Workshops for beginner to advanced players. Taiko drumming is an art form that involves the study and practice of basic drills and techniques that eventually become ingrained in our bodies. People of varying experience can attend the same class and derive benefit as we all engage in the activity at our own level of training. Human vs Taiko Drum; we engage in the art form to experience physicality, musicality and team work and we invite you to join a class if you have ever wondered what it is like to stand in front of a drum and play it. Taiko Drumming improves mental and physical agility, body and spatial awareness and raises human spirit in the group practice. Performing members of Uzume Taiko offer training in Drum Sticking, Musicianship, Taiko Form and Choreography.
