"SHAKE THE EARTH" is a multidisciplinary collaboration project with Uzume Taiko drummers and the VanTap Dance Arts Centre tap dancers performing together. The 60-minute Concert includes choreographed martial-arts-based taiko drum songs and dynamic cutting-edge rhythm tap dancing and body percussion. Engaging together through tap dance and taiko drumming, the artists communicate power, passion and the human spirit through their love of rhythm and movement. Filmed in the intimate setting of the Annex Theatre in downtown Vancouver, audience members get a close-up view of the performers' techniques and the passionate spirit that embodies these two art forms.
