OUR STUDIO CLASSES WILL BE OPEN following Public Health Official Guidelines. Limited Enrolment available. Students MUST receive Confirmation before attending Sessions. 
We endeavour to follow the advice of our Public Health Officials. When Taiko Classes are permitted we request all Students to follow this Safe Plan.

CLASS ENROLMENT:
There will be a Maximum of 12 Students per Session.

The TAIKO INTRO is for newcomers to the art form. In 2-Classes we will train in the basic taiko drum stroke, stances, drum stick grips, playing rhythms, taiko notation and drum rolls.

DATES:

  • SPRING 1: TAIKO INTRO - April 6, April 13
  • SPRING 2: TAIKO INTRO - May 11, May 18

TIME:

  • 12:00 - 1:00 PM

COST:

  • $   70.00 per 2-classes (includes one pair of taiko drum sticks)
  • $   50.00 per 2-classes (classes only and includes taiko drum stick rental)
     

Things to know about classes and workshops:

Classes take place at the Uzume Taiko Studio located at #100 - 11566 Eburne Way on Mitchell Island in Richmond.

  • Bring a towel and water
  • Bring a pair of clean, indoor shoes with good grip to wear or participate in bare feet and wear loose, comfortable clothing
  • Bring Foam earplugs to protect your hearing
